Island by Alistair MacLeod. The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy. Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami. Pretty Monsters by Kelly Link (this is a young adult novel you will love). Alice Munro, any book she’s written. That’s all I can come up with right now.
